Skills & Surfaces

AI has moved from the chat window into the actual tools and workflows of knowledge work.

In this course, you’ll learn to leverage Claude in Chrome, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, as well as how to apply Skills across these surfaces.

The Sessions

This series teaches Claude’s tools, focusing on the practical fluency people need to flexibly apply them to improve the clarity, quality, and velocity of their work.

Session 1: Claude in Excel

Use Claude as a hands-on analyst inside your spreadsheets, whether working with quantitative or qualitative information. Learn to clean, explore, model, and interpret data collaboratively with AI—in ways that are auditable and reproducible.

Session 2: Claude for visualization

Create interactive dashboards and branded visuals that communicate clearly and update dynamically. Learn to turn them into code for websites and to share them externally with Netlify.

Session 3: Claude Skills

Build shareable, reusable tools that encode your judgment and workflows—brand guidelines, report templates, email handling, and more. Immediately apply Skills thinking to the analytic and visual work from earlier sessions.

Session 4: Claude in PowerPoint

Generate and refine slide decks directly in conversation with PowerPoint. Apply brand skills and visualization techniques to produce polished, on-brand presentations without leaving the workflow.

Session 5: Claude Cowork

Use Claude Cowork as a desktop collaborator that can process, compare, and produce polished deliverables—syncing a user guide with its deck, reviewing a contract clause-by-clause, or turning raw data into a branded report.
